Murti
Past ten years, some people from Rawinala walked a long way on Jalan Gatep Rt.010 RW.06 Mangga Dua to found a kid named Murti. She was born June 13, 1990. She ever studied within Rawinala for a year and she did not come anymore. Rawinala tried to get information about her. Somebody said that her mother passed away and she live with her father.
Murti is category multiple handicapped children. She has backward mentality and low vision. When Rawinala found her, she was not live with her father. She was given to other family by his father. Her father’s job is rent bicycle. His father income is not enough for their living cost. It was the reason caused he give Murti to other family.
With the help of her father, Rawinala found her. She lived at the dumping area because her foster parents work as scavenger. Murti said her new parents put her on the street every day for begging to help their financial. Rawinala asked to her parent to take Murti to Rawinala. Even her father allowed but Rawinala have to pay IDR 150.000 for murti living cost to her foster parent.
Now, Murti is growing to be a confident kid. Even she has retarded mental but she can play music well. She can play drum, angklung, gamelan and gendang (traditional music instrument). She never enforced to formal music education school. She was a winner on DKI Jakarta singing contest for blind.
She has a dream to be a music teacher. Rawinala always thank to God for give change to met Murti. The cost paid nothing compare to her happiness now.
